07.09.19

summer-happy-hours-dcSummer is officially in full swing! Between the warm weather and more daylight hours, there is no better time to connect with coworkers and friends or take advantage of networking opportunities than happy hour. Here are our picks for the best places to unwind after work in two of D.C.’s best neighborhoods: West End and Chevy Chase.

West End

1. District Commons

Kick back at the bar with $6 signature cocktails until 7 pm!

2. Boqueria

This tapas restaurant has a great shaded patio, lots of small plates, and serves sangria by the pitcher!

3. Teddy and the Bully Bar

Are you a cocktail connoisseur? If so, there is no better place for happy hour then this bar. They have an extensive menu of drinks, from handcrafted creations to “on-tap” classics.

4. Pizzeria Paradiso

If you want a relaxed atmosphere that is kind to your wallet, head to this D.C. staple after work. You can get a beer and a pizza for $15!

5. Stoneys on L

The best place for classic bar snacks. Grab your favorite co-workers and do some after-work bonding over wings and nachos!

Chevy Chase

1. Pete’s New Haven Style Apizza

While Pete’s doesn’t have special happy hour deals, there is no better place to sit outside and relax after work. Take advantage of their huge patio! Plus, Pete’s is extremely family friendly and makes a great meeting point for all ages to enjoy a meal out.

2. Clyde’s

Their oyster happy hour features 50% off all raw bar items! Plus, their elevated space is perfect for impressing a new professional contact or friend.

3. Lia’s

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck in taste and cost, Lia’s is the place for you! Get a “Supermug” of beer and a gourmet burger with a side all for under $30.

4. Sushiko

This trendy spot serves up drinks with a Japanese twist and $5 hand rolls!

5. Maggiano’s

We know Maggiano’s is a chain but hear us out: the “Today and Tomorrow” pasta deal cannot be beaten. This place is perfect if small happy hour apps aren’t going to cut it. Get a pasta to eat now, one for lunch tomorrow, and pair it all with a $5 happy hour glass of wine.

Happy hour isn’t just a fun activity, it’s a summer staple! There is no better way to unwind after a long day inside than with a drink or some appetizers on a patio. AdvantEdge Workspaces is lucky to have our locations in the Chevy Chase and West End neighborhoods. These two areas of D.C. are vibrant and filled with so many fun and unique places to visit after work. This summer, be sure to check out our spaces, and grab a drink after!
